LAWN MOWER MAINTENANCE TIPS

Get the most out of your investment by following these lawn mower maintenance tips. We recommend looking at your owner’s manual to see how often these steps are suggested for your make and model. If you can’t find your manual, ask one of our staff members. 

  • Drain the Gas: At the end of the usage season, drain all of the remaining gas from the mower so that you can use fresh gas once spring rolls around.
  • Change the Oil: Change the oil occasionally; the oil in your lawn mower can become clogged by debris over time.
  • Replace the Filter: The air filter is another part of the lawn mower that can become dirty and clogged by dirt and debris. 
  • Maintain the Blade: Many people have their kitchen knives sharpened. How much more work is done by the blades on your lawn mower? Get them sharpened regularly. 
  • Clean the Motor: Wipe off the motor every so often with an old towel or heavy-duty broom.
